Hi,

I'm having some difficulty with the transcoding feature of ubsonic. I have some FLAC files which I understand need to be transcoded to MP3. However, despite the maximum bitrate settings being set to unlimited, all my FLAC files are being transcoded to 128kbps on my player. This problem is limited only to FLAC files - a 320kbps mp3 file will stream at 320kbps.

I have checked the max bitrate setting on both my player (iPhone running iSub) and the relavent subsonic server settings for that player - they are set to "no limit" over WiFi.

I am using the up-to-date version of iSub on iOS 8 on an iPhone 6.
My subsonic version is: 5.0 (build 4100) – September 21, 2014
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_65, Linux (53.9 MB / 130.0 MB)
Server platform: ubuntu server 14.04

I can see that the bitrate in the transcoder commands above is 128 but I don't know anyway to change it.

I have exactly the same problem . I wish to transcode at least at 256kbps, not a poor 128 kbps...

Someone have an idea ?

you just have to enter 320kbps and NOT unlimited. btw the new beta version raises that default setting to 192
