standalone update how to - new features/look

Postby zeroth » Sat Jan 17, 2015 3:09 pm

One thing I wanted to point out in case there is anyone looking is that the standalone update is easy. Simple download the package, unpack it and replace the

Subsonic-booterxxxxxx.jar, subsonic.bat and subsonic.war. Please update if I'm mistaken.

I updated years ago and lost all user configs.. this worked just fine.

To the next point. I like the look of 5.1 however I noticed that file names tend to run over. It looks really messy. I wonder if there is possibly a solution that can be added to updates to allow us to keep the file names like they are instead of having to go through huge folders renaming everything. Also, what is the size limit for the titles? Thanks for all the great work. Loving subsonic.

Update to Version 6 worked fine using this method. However after restarting, Live transcoding does not work. None of my videos would work.

Should be in the Root folder. I'm on a linux server and it's under ~/Subsonic6
