Subsonic does not play songs and cannot download to client

I was using subsonic 5.0 for a while. I updated a few days ago to 5.1beta1. Ever since the update i've had several issues with Subsonic to the point where it has become nearly useless as a media player. Putting a song on queue will simply be stuck at 0:00 and will not start playing. If i manually click on the jwplayer to a point in time a bit further ahead, there is a slight (but unusually longer than before) delay, and the song would begin to play. When the song ends, the next song would begin but would suffer the same problem: i need to manually click the player for each and every song if i wanted a song to play. Songs on a queue do not start playing on their own without intervention.

Also, using my android Subsonic app has now had issues. Songs would download but never seemingly play. Songs that were previously downloaded would play just fine, but songs downloaded or streamed since the update will not play under any circumstances. Although the file seems to download, pressing play immediately pauses it. Moving it to a further time resets the play time to 0:00 and pauses play.

I have updated Firefox, Java, and Flash with no changes in behavior. I briefly went back to 5.0 but the problems still seem to persist. I have no idea what else to attempt to get Subsonic to work either as a webplayer or in the Android app.

I have encountered this issue on numerous occasions using 4.x and 5.0. I was able to resolve by rescanning the entire database using the following:

Go to Settings -> Media Folders -> "Scan media folders now"

I will try this, though im almost certain that i have it set up to automatically scan folders at 3:00 AM every day. I'll attempt to manually do it and see if theres any better results.

UPDATE: This did not work. No change in behavior.

After mucking around and trying different things, i went with the "nuclear" option by uninstalling Subsonic and deleting the C:\subsonic folder along with its cache and application settings. I reinstalled it and reconfigured every option.

Its working now. I guess it must have been some kind of corruption with some important setting files.
