subsonic 5.2 "yellow submarine" icon isn't hidden

Problem Description: After upgrading to Subsonic 5.2 the "yellow submarine" icon is appearing on the dock and won't hide. Before version 5.2 this icon never appeared on the dock. The only icon that would appear was the "headphone" icon in the menu bar.
Troubleshooting Steps:If I quit the icon from the dock it also quit Subsonic and the "headphone" icon on the menu bar as well. Therefore, I cannot play anything on subsonic.

Subsonic Version: 5.2 (build 4411) – February 23, 2015
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.8.0_25, Mac OS X (76.8 MB / 133.5 MB)
Hardware Platform: Mac OS 10.10.2 (Yosemite)

Is this dock icon a new feature of version 5.2? If that is the case, how to make it disappear? I don't like it and already have enough icons on my dock
