http and https simultan

Postby Rhocco » Sun Mar 29, 2015 10:02 pm

Hello,

i configured the subsonic server on a debian with "--ssl-port=4443" and the included public certificate. It is working very good.

But how can i run this server with http://....:4040 AND https://......:4443 at the same time?

When i try to reach my server from Android app or the Desktop by http, the server routes imediately to https...
The windows phone clients have problems with public certificates and can only be conected, when i start the server without the "--ssl-port=4443" option.

Is there some configuration i am missing?

Thanks in advance

I believe the answer is no. I remember some others asking the same question and I don't think they every found a solution (though you could try searching the forums for the threads).

hmm, ok thank you for the answer. I thought i can fix this on server side.
So i have to try this : make a self-signed certificate and install/update for the subsonic server and the winphone client, to bypass the "not secure" connection disconnect.
I dont own a windows phone, but i read that it possible to install *.cer certificates
