Transcode Video to Audio
Hey guys. I was wondering if there was a way to set up subsonic so that it would transcode video files, like mp4, avi, to mp3s. I like to listen to movies and shows that I've seen before while I work, but I don't want to waste the extra bandwidth on video I'm not even looking at.
I've tried setting up a new transcoder setting like this ( ffmpeg -i %s -vn -ar 44100 -ac 2 -ab %b -f mp3 -) to convert from video to mp3. I've also changed the general settings so that all the formats that were listed under video, are now listed under audio. And lastly I made sure that the webplayer I was using only had that new transcoder selected. However, it didn't work. Videos still show up as videos in the album view, and instead of playing in the music player they still go to a video page and begin to play.
So, first is what I'm trying to do even possible, and if it is, what are the settings I need to change to actually do it? I'm sure I missed something. Thanks in advance!
