Flash web-player not working

I installed the current version of Subsonic today but can not play back anything in the firefox browser.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Clear browser caches
- delete the /var/subsonic/jetty directory
Playback Application and version:
firefox 37 with flash 16
Hardware Platform:
Intel NUC with ubuntu 14.04 64 bit
Java Memory Limit:
512 MB
Problem Description / Subsonic Version / Server Version / Last ten log file lines:
I get the message "Get flash player", however, the latest flash player plugin is installed and working on other websites. See screenshot:
Any ideas?
