Video playback stalls at lowest settings
I am in Washington DC staying a hotel with what is easily the worst F-ing WiFi I have ever had - and I have been a ton of places.
THe trouble is that I am getting ~3-3.5 Mbit down (capped at 4 and I am paying an extra $7 a day to get it...) but even at 300 kbps I am stalling when I try and watch video streams.
My home system is a i7 hex core with 64GB fast RAM and my upstream is ~55 Mbit. I am pretty sure it is not a purely bandwidth issue.
I am wondering if there is a way to help my playback in shitty wifi land (you'd think $340.00/night would get you more)?
I use the web browser to watch video with the built in player.
Thanks in advance for useful ideas.
