help for seeking forward in streamed videos

Hello Sindre,

very cool programm!!
I have a question about seeking in streamed videos, how could i perform to seek?

The thing is when i look an video, somtime i cannot finish looking it, and i what to start looking it later at that point where i leaved. do you have an workaround for it, ore does anyone else could help?

The newest version of VLC player allows seeking. It's a little trial and error because it doesn't know the actual file duration, but it gets the job done.

I´m allways using the windows mp !!
Maybe its possible to include an functional webplayer for videos in subsonic?

The new flash player is capable of playing video, but first you would need to setup ffmpeg to transcode your video files to a flash format.

Brian can you tell me what exact command line you are using in your subsonice to convert the video files to flash.

For example below is what is in Subsonic for m4a to MP3. Can you post something similar for what you are doing on your site.

Name: m4a > mp3
Convert from: m4a
Convert to: mp3
Step 1: faad -w %s
Step 2: lame -b %b -x - -

I think you will fined lame is just for music, but im not 1oo% sure but i think it is.

I'm using ffmpeg to transcode avi>flv. Here are the options I'm using:
