Search-Feature seems not be working with id3v2.4

I am starting to manage my music library with beets, that uses only id3v2.4 Tags. Every track that i've edited with beets cannot be found with the search function.
Is it a bug or is it not supported?

EDIT:
I found the solution. I had a corrupted database. All i had to do was a clean up
