Android App pauses/skips while playing

I've got subsonic installed on my note 4 and every song that isn't already cached has a 1 second pause after about 5 seconds.

It appears the 5 second mark is where the song is fully cached to my phone and it switches over to the cached version perhaps?

Its on 96kbps with my phone and home server on very fast connections.

Any ideas?
