[Resolved] Not all users have access to main media folder

Postby lovebags » Fri Aug 07, 2015 12:05 pm

Since doing the 5.2 upgrade I've now got some LDAP users with no access to the main media folder. When I view certain users settings, the folder "Allow access to these media folders" is unchecked. However for other users, it is checked. I thought it might be new users who might not have access after the upgrade but when I deleted and then recreated an account on login, it had access.

We have over 2000 users so it would be cumbersome to manually check each one in the web interface. Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this may have occurred?

Next week I'll check with one of our other admins and see if we can't do a bulk change of the media folder setting.

On further evaluation it seems to be affecting only new LDAP users but I need to test this on a duplicate server to double check. I wonder if it's one of those issues with certain default LDAP settings in Subsonic that can't be changed for new users...

I think revision #4459 should fix this.
Bugfix: Grant access to media folders when auto-creating LDAP users.

You can build your own version or wait for the 5.3 release.

awesome, thanks for pointing that out. Might roll back to 5.1 in the meantime.
