new additions to Subsonic

Hi There, I am using Subsonic for almost one year now and this a fine system. However there's one point that gives me trouble: adding new music files to my Subsonic account. The new files are not visible in the 'recently added' tab until I perform a complete new scan. I have to delete the media folder and do a full re-scan. This takes several hours for the almost 4,000 albums, 50,000 tracks i have entered up to now.
New files are sometimes visible under the condition that there's already an existing folder. I mean a new album is visible if there's an already existing artist folder for that album. You first have to click the folder to see the new albums in the 'recently added' tab.
I had the idea this problem did not occur in older versions of Subsonic, right? So what can I do to make my new files visible in a more quick way (not to have to re-scan my 50,000 tracks for hours every day)? Thanks!

Follow this steps:

1. Hit refresh button (left panel under the alphabet list)
2. Click on the artist you just have added
3. Click on the albums you just have added

Then check the Recently added, the new albums must be there.

I believe there is no simple way to tackle this

Cheers

Thanks Mitrailer,

Refresh only works one time, after a total re-scan.
Additional refreshes don't show new additions in the list in the most left part of the screen.
Log out and log in again don't work either.
Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Do you have "Fast access mode" checked (It's under Setting - Media Folders), if so, un-check it and try the steps of my previous post.

I don't have 'Fast access mode' checked.
Sometimes the list panel in the most left part of the screen refreshes after a screen-refresh (F5).
Or only the totals refresh after F5.
Sometimes nothing happens after F5, although there are new additions.
This part doesn't seem to work very properly.
Maybe hitting F5 has more impact than only a screen refresh?

I really don't know. But "ctrl+F5" forces the Cache of the page to clear, maybe that would help to
