I have set up a Raspberry Pi to run subsonic, however all my music is on my windows machine. These folders are shared via windows network. How do I add these locations to subsonic so that it can scan them? I have tried entering the folder location as "\\WINMACHINE\Audio\Music" but i get is folder not found. Do I need to enable samba?

Basically how do you add network folders to subsonic.

It sounds like the user you are trying to access the share with doesn't have permissions to your network folder. I have a similar setup (Raspberry Pi running subsonic and connecting to a NAS). I had this same problem until I sorted out permissions to where the account logged on to the Raspberry Pi did not have access to the music folder on the NAS.

The folder is on a windows machine. Permissions are set to anyone can view/read. Other machines on the network can see the and play the contents of the folder.
