Slow Due to Artist Info

Problem Description: When "Show artist info" is checked, browsing through the media library is slow. Expected behavior is clicking folder link will bring up results within a couple/few seconds. Ideally results could be displayed first/immediately while Last.fm (or whatever the artist info source is) request is being made separately, in the background.

Troubleshooting Steps: Check and uncheck "Show artist info" setting. With "Show artist info" checked, results take from near-immediate to (commonly) a minute or more. With "Show artist info" unchecked, results rarely take more than 5 seconds. Attempted with multiple users, devices, browsers, and connections, with consistent results for all.
