Subsonic Forum

I am using the d-sub app, I organized over several months the best songs into categories and now they are gone... anyone experienced similar problem ?

Really frustrating, thinking about switching to plex.

What other subsonic alternatives are there?

Yes, it's quite frustrating. Your best bet is to regularly backup your playlists and reimport them as they get broken.

My friend who introduced subsonic to me switched back to Ampache. IMO it also isn't perfect. But they've got a healthier community/development team.

I've been meaning to give Ampache a try. It has the added bonus of emulating the Subsonic API so you can use the regular clients still.

Yeah, I think that is what I am going to do.

I wonder if there is a way to automaticaly backup the playlists?

Where are they stored ? In a file ?

I could write a little script that runs every hour and makes a backup.
