Helle to all,

sorry for my bad English....

I have an SONOS at home. Now I have subsonic on my Windows 7 Pc. On Harddisk I have all my Musik. I use Subsonic because without i can only use max. 65.000 Music Titel on Sonos. With Subsonic I can use more than 65.000 Titels.

But now i want to use an NAS. But I dont know which I can take. I will have 2-4 GB. And the NAS should have low power consumption. I want the NAS only for Music and Backup.

Did anyone have a good instructions for set up a NAS? But not on Linux.

Thank you for all....

I use Lime unRAID which is an incredible NAS solution that also allows Subsonic to run as a Docker on unRAID.

This solution also provides for very good data redundancy for this type of data (music, movies, backups, etc.)

unRAID is likely more than you need right now but it's an excellent solution that can run on an old computer you have, run subsonic to serve your Sonos system at a very low cost.

Don't be scared by the top end of the possibilities .... Other than you might use this far more than your initial plan.

I started slow many years ago but my unRAID server is now my main file server system with 24 drives, 64 Tb of capacity running subsonic, Plex, CrashPlan, etc.
