I'm sorry, total newbie here, but I am getting frustrated. I downloaded the 6.x beta, and installed it and it is picking up my music.

But under the podcast tab, there is no where to add a podcast. Am I naively expecting there to be a + sign or a link to add a podcast?

Searching the forum for "podcast" gives me posts about errors. No where can I find a clear answer. Is it in the documentation and I missed it?

At the end in the podcast page there is a text box that said "Subscribe to podcast". Just copy-paste "RSS" link of the podcast in the text box.

EDIT: Also check if you have permission to administrate podcast. Go to Settings -> Users, select your user and check "User is allowed to administrate Podcasts"

Ha - it was the permissions. Very strange. I am used to the "administrator" having permission to do everything. Not sure how much sense it makes to not allow the admin to do something.
