Hey everyone,

I have gotten the hang of subsonic, got the apps on phones and tablets and got jamstash on chrome.

Here's where Im having the problem. my laptop has the media, hooked up wifi, but my LG wired streaming DVD player can see the subsonic icon server. I can go all the way into the laptop, see playlists, see artist, all the songs and albums, but when I choose a song it will not play the media. anyone had this problem or have any ideas?

Thanks, Chris Mac

An update, I tried it out on a new Vizio TV. it can see the files but when I try to go to a track it locks the TV up.

Does anyone know if Subsonic plays well with DLNA devices and UPnP? Before it seems the server was down around the 24th of April 2016, I could see my subsonic server on 2 Vizio smart TVs, and a wired LG blue-ray player/media player (netflix, hulu, amazon, etc) I could see the files but the devices never played the audio. NOW, I cannot ever see it on my network. I have everything checked within subsonic that i think it should be for those to work. there really arent many options to set up for my local LAN to see the media server on the DLNA device.

I have computer set up as static IP
I have ports forwarded on actiontec router ( It is older (as in 8 years maybe) router so maybe its not compatable with DLNA stuff?)
I can use it beautifully on my phone. I even got the DVD i ripped to play today at work. but it was only 5 mins from the trial WINX DVD Ripper.

But Im really trying to set up my house to view our DVDs (once ripped to a 1T Ext HDD) in any room of the house basically from a smart TV, Streaming Media player or chromecast.

Anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help
