Sometimes album art will appear purple on the home screen. When you click into the album, however, the album art appears with normal colors! Any idea what's wrong?

Seems to be related to: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=15458&
But there's no fix. Deleting /var/subsonic/thumbs and restarting subsonic did not work .

Actually, deleting /var/subsonic/thumbs does seem to work. You just need to stop subsonic first.
