setup on new pc, new router, using vpn - cannot connect

dbarney.subsonic.org.
port forwarding set to my pc IP address.
Previous pc setup, I had no problems but I cannot get my device test to connect nor can I get the server test at subsonic.org in my account to connect when tested.
Windows 7, subsonic control panel shows 'green', running
