Much like the Java update issue, we're now seeing M$ monthly Win updates cause a flurry of 503/corrupted database issues. This is likely caused by improper shut down of the service before updating. PLEASE make a back up of your virgin Subsonic database so you can recover from these issues when (not only if) they occur; otherwise, you will need to start fresh.

alphawave, can you explain how to remedy this issue? I have no problems starting fresh, I have uninstalled multiple times and reinstalled. I tried version 6, version 5 and a version 4, no joy. Where can I delete any old corrupt files or databases? Isn't uninstalling taking care of that?

I have the latest version of Java, is that a problem?

I can't get the log in page to load in a browser at all due to the server error so I can't go in my settings and point to a different drive where my music resides or make any other setting changes. I need to get to log in at least as adminstrator to set things up again correct?

This is Win 10, I tried google, chrome, IE, no joy. I tried going to the services and right clicking the log in to allow access to network drives but that did not good. Right now my music is hosted on an external drive attached to the computer by way of a hard drive dock and a USB 3.0 cable.

ok. i think i understand starting from scratch now lol. i deleted the subsonic folder in C: and i was able to open the login page. but my username would not work. i had to log in as admin/admin (username/password). what happened to my subscription? must i really cancel my payment on my credit card and make a new account?

I finally got it solved. The problem was that when you uninstall subsonic it goes to your Program files (x86) folder and removes the subsonic stuff from there. But in a separate folder back in your C: folder there is a folder names subsonic that seems to have the Java files or something. You have to manually delete that folder, then probably restart, or at least delete that folder and then reinstall Subsonic and then it worked. yes, i did have to set things up again with my own account, user name, password, and then retrieve my premium license and re-enter that and then we were off to the races.

Can the admin team/developer not make it so that when you use the windows uninstall process that it deletes all traces of subsonic including that stand alone folder in the C: directory that stay put and causes conflict?
