No Album art ?
I am a newbie to Subsonic and after tinkering with Ampache, Ampjuke, and Netjukebox I have to say I have found the almost perfecct solution for my situation. (I need to connect through office proxy and firewall and back to my ubuntu box at home). Great piece of work!!
I am using Apache+Tomcat on Ubuntu Hardy box. The music folder is mounted from a QNAP NAS drive.
So when I startup Subsonic and browse the folders, the music shows up and plays fine. But I am not seeing any album art. My images are usually in same folder as the songs for a given album.
When I see the Tomcat log files, I see java.io.IOException complaining about not being able to create thumnail for the image files.
sorry I cant cut paste the log right now since I am on diff machine
When I look in /var/subsonic/thumbs, all sub-folders below thumbs are empty. What else I need to to to make this work, I have both Java 5 and 6 on the box. But my tomcat's JAVA_HOME is setup to use Java 5.
The permissions in /var/subsonic does not seem to be an issue either.
Do I need to use Java 6 ?
I can cut and paste the exception trace later on.
update: I did change it to Java 6 and it did not seem to help. I forgot to mention another thing. When I click on the missing thumbnail icon next to the album listing on the page, it does pop up the image file! So it is able to access the file fine I guess. Not sure why it can't generate the humbnail.
many thanks
