subsonic address dns wrong IP redirect

I recently renewed my year premium membership and I guess when I reinstalled subsonic fresh from a new linux build I forgot to setup the network settings for my "name.subsonic.org" redirect.
Did that and it still points to my old IP address. Am I to believe it is the subsonic server's job to register my current internet IP with my name?

I found this on:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16762&p=71753&hilit=dns#p71753

The address that the paid version of subsonic grants you is a domain redirection and not a domain registration.
I.e., you'll always see the DNS of subsonic.org's because what indeed happens is that the request first goes to the subsonic redirection server that will then check which is your current IP address and redirect the connection there. If I do a DNS dig for my address it will also not return my public IP address.

The big advantage in this is that since most if not all of subsonic customers are on dynamic IP addresses provided by ISPs, whenever your ISP changes your public address the only thing your subsonic has to do is to inform the subsonic redirection server to redirect to the new address. This way your subsonic become immediately accessible by you/your friends again when the ISP changes addresses.

The redirect also handles port issues. So you just have to do x.subsonic.org and not worry about whether your port is 4040 or 80 or anything else.
