Subsonic corrupts its database occasionally and the only solution is to delete it. You can save your settings file however it's a PITA since it takes time to do. And it always happens when I am away from my home. I sure hope Sindre can address at some point.

You delete your DB folder, which then creates a new DB on service startup. Might want to move it to a temp folder rather than delete, just in case that's not what you wanted. Be aware you'll lose everything as far as settings and stars.
As a side note, I removed my podcasts and haven't had a lick of database trouble for several weeks.

Is there a known issue with Podcasts causing db corruption? The reason I ask is I've not had any db problems until just today a few hours after enabling a few podcasts. Had to disable to even get the server to start back up again. I'm still seeing podcast errors in the log file though. Will probably just recreate the db from scratch since I unable to do anything from the podcast tab.

As fas as I know it's an issue which some users have experienced. Whether it is a known issue I don't know.
Since Sindre said that there'll be an updated version of Subsonic coming soon which contains some bug fixes, perhaps this issue will be adressed too.

I cannot find any files left behind when I have uninstalled, if there is database files I need to delete also please tell me where they are. Fresh install has not worked.
I am not concerned with keeping settings I just want it to work and I will go from there.

After uninstalling make sure that the folder where you installed Subsonic is really deleted.
I once uninstalled Subsonic from the folder C:\Subsonic and reinstalled it in a different folder C:\SubsonicV6, only to find that the database files were still present in the C:\subsonic folder and the new subsonic-installation used the database in that folder.
By default the database file is located in Subsonic\DB folder.

Hi,
Thanks for all your help, I searched but for some reason c:\subsonic did not appear. I deleted that this time and seems to be working better.

Does Subsonic-service start Ok?
No firewall-issues?
Did you configure Podcasts? ( Seems that that's a sure way to get your database corrupt.)
Running the latest version of Oracle Java?
You could try:
- Uninstall Subsonic.
- Check for any leftover Subsonic folders after uninstalling and delete them.
- Uninstall Java
- Restart your pc.
- Install Subsonic. ( Java will be installed)
I'm sorry you have all these issues trying to get Subsonic running, and I really don't understand what the problem is. I've installed Subsonic dozens of times and it always ran smoothly after installing.

It was running perfectly up until yesterday.
I have port 4040 forwarded, the service was running and had no problems. I have tried uninstalling, deleting all app data including the DB folder, and then reinstalled. No luck.

Ok, But does the subsonic service start on your new installation?
Did you reboot your pc?
Did you clear the internet cache of the device you're using to connect to Subsonic?
Can you log in to Subsonic using
http://localhost:4040 on the machine that's running Subsonic?

There are known issues with the upgrade to 6.0 Final.
I am still running the beta due to the installer blowing up my DB and setup on a Windows 2012 R2 setup.
I don't want to lose my DB.
6.0.beta2 (build ef60a8) – March 20, 2016
Issue has to do with how the installer cleans up from previous version.
I understand clean installs are OK with 6.0 Final but you have to make sure no traces are left.
I am happy with beta2...but hoping for a new years release.
