Hello,

I want to buy a premium subscription lifetime. It says that I would get my own "yourname.subsonic.org".
I emailed subsonic at mail@subsonic.org and have received no reply for days.

How would I set that up when I subscribe?

Do I get to choose my name?

Can I change my name at a later point?

Hi

The address "yourname.subsonic.org" only redirects your dynamic IP in order to connect to your server. You can edit only the "yourname" part. Once you install subsonic go to "settings -> Network" to edit the address. I don't recommend to change "yourname" constantly

Ok so I do all the setup for it in the server settings. And subsonic.org takes care of the rest?

It will continue to work even when my ISP changes the IP address as it does at times?

Note that after 30 day you have to pay for using subsonic outside your home

If I buy a lifetime subscription then I will be able to connect to subsonic outside my home for life correct??

I forgot to tell that you need to open de 4040 port (or the port where you installed subsonic) on your router to connect to your server outside your home
