Over the last couple of weeks I have been unable to access my subsonic server outside of home intranet, it appears that my server is down, just keep getting message "network error occurred. Please check the server address or try again later" I have sent email to site Admin about a week ago but no response yet, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Some questions:
Can you reach your Subsonic server from within your network?
Did you check your router?
Did you delete the portmappings for Subsonic in your router, reboot and reconfigure your settings?
Did you look in Subsonic under Settings / Network if the status says "Succesfully registered web adress?"
If you're using Windows did you check your firewall settings?

I am having a similar problem.

The "Network" page under Settings says that the portmappings are fine, I cannot reach the subsonic server within my network though.

I've reconfigured my router and the portmappings still seem like they are okay.

It says "Status: Could not connect to blahblahblah.subsonic.org. (ConnectTimeoutException)"

Firewall is completely off at this point.

Since the status says there's a problem with your networksettings I do advise you to configure your portmappings manually in your router.
From within your network can you reach your subsonic server if you use the ip-adress? (Like http://192.168.1.10:4040)
This should work if you can login to Subsonic on the serverpc.

Unfortunately, it's probably a corrupt DB.

1. yes I can reach it from localhost8080
2. yes and the interesting thing was router was set at 192.168.1.115 (which I guess is the translation of my subsonic server address that I have always used, subsonic tech services let me know that address that they had was .114) I changed address in router to .114 and it worked for a couple of days and now doesn't again. Do you know why subsonic would have my local address which was translated to .115 for years and suddenly change it to .114?
3. yes
4. have a successfully registered web address
5. Windows firewall off
Thank you for your help

Well it's not stupid. Using DHCP makes a lot of sense if you can make IP-reservations for certain devices.
But I guess Subsonic is working again so thanks for letting us know.
