Subsonic Forum

The Artist Radio is a great feature of Subsonic but it doesn't appear to be very intuitive. When I select the option it just plays a random assortment of music. I would expect it to play songs from that particular artist. All of my music is properly tagged so I have no idea what the issue could be. The top songs feature works but it is only available via the web ui and not through sonos. Anybody else have this issue or know of a fix. Please help. Thanks

The Artist Radio plays a random playlist of similar artist (and the current artist) to the artist page you're in in.

For example, if you are in the Daft Punk page the Artist Radio plays a random list of the following artists: Daft Punk, Justice, The Chemical Brothers, deadmau5, Kavinsky, Digitalism, Boys Noize, The Prodigy, Röyksopp. As long as these artist are in your library. The similarity is based on the last.fm databases

Hey thanks for the reply. Ok that makes sense. I figured It was broken because I was gettin a lot more songs from other artist than the one I selected. If that is how it works then I'll just have to live with it. lol thanks again
