I got it up and running and it streams, but i have to completely disable the Windows 7 firewall.
Does anyone have any suggestion on how to work it through that firewall?
Thanks
Charles

You should just have to allow the port that subsonic uses in the firewall settings (mine was 8080, and then it worked).

Not sure if it works in Windows 7, but automatic configuration of Windows firewall settings has been implemented in the next release:

i am having a similar problem- i have forwarded traffic on my router's firewall to my internal IP running subsonic- and i am unable to connect to subsonic outside of the firewall
UNTIL- i connect to my logmein installation on the computer running subsonic for remote access. after connecting via logmein, i can then use subsonic. before that, it times out.

What port are you using for subsonic? That seems very unusual. I think logmein uses port 80 and port 2002.
