FLAC track seek performance improvement

Hey all,

My subsonic server (hosted on a Synology NAS via Tomcat) performs pretty well, no major complaints on response etc. However, one thing that I find really annoying is that seeking forward on FLACs is really slow. When I seek forward on MP3s, the playback starts nearly immediately. On FLACs, it takes something like 30-40 seconds to start playing back again, depending on the track length - a really long time in any case. I understand that it's transcoding and some delay is to be expected, but this seems exaggerated. I'm using the normal recommended transcoding string. Dose everyone else see the same behavior for FLACs?

Anyone have any ideas on how I could improve this? Any recommendations for a different transcoder, different string, something to that effect? Thank you!
