Library Not Updating After Permissions Update

When I copy a music folder over to my subsonic library sometimes the file permissions aren't correct. It used to be no big deal as I could update the permissions and rescan my library and it would then show up. Lately for some reason if I have already copied the folder into my library, subsonic will never pick it up after a rescan after I change permissions. I have to disable my entire music directory from subsonic, clean the database, and then do a full rescan to get that one album to finally show.

It has done this numerous times and I'm not sure what the issue is. Something in subsonic seems to flag theses files as no good once they're scanned with the incorrect permissions. I've tried changing permissions and then renaming the folder so subsonic sees it as a new location but even that doesn't work.
