Wifi dropouts since setting up static IP
I installed Subsonic 6.0 on an old Windows 7 machine (Server version jetty-6.1.x, java 1.8.0_31, Windows 7 (112.0 MB / 145.0 MB)
), connected via ethernet to my Linksys WRT54GL router. I have successfully set up a static IP on the windows machine, forwarded port 4040, and Subsonic is working well via web browser from OS X laptops and Android phone apps. There are two other devices plugged directly into the router via ethernet, an Apple TV and Rasberry Pi.
But since running Subsonic the past 24hrs, I have noticed my laptop disconnecting frequently from the Wifi. Turning Wifi on and off on the laptop, and reconnecting to the network solves the problem. This will happen as often as every 90 seconds, or sometimes I can get 10 minutes of connection. It seems to last longer if I am causing active traffic, i.e. clicking links, loading pages. Somewhat strangely, seems to maintain connection better when both laptops are using Wifi. Subsonic playback is unaffected, and the Apple TV and RPi seem to be working fine as well. I am running Subsonic in Jukebox mode exclusively.
Too much router traffic? Any general troubleshooting guides I should look into? Not sure where to start. Thanks.
