Raspberry PI as client no Audio on Firefox

Postby xnor » Mon Apr 17, 2017 3:45 am

I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 [built for raspi] on a raspberry pi 3. I'm running the most recent firefox for the distro, no flash because its an arm chip..
I am able to get audio from youtube videos, though some are rather distorted, most work fine.
When I launch subsonic [running on another raspi and verified with several other clients] I see the track progress move along but I get no audio out.
Pulse audio indicates that I have an audio source [firefox], but it isn't producing anything.

I haven't tried any other browsers yet.

Anyone have any clues on how to get audio going? Is there another transcode format, some plugin I should install, some setting for firefox?

Thanks TONS!

p.s.
My server runs:
Subsonic Premium
6.0 (build a7857c) – April 30, 2016
jetty-6.1.x, java 1.8.0_65, Linux (134.7 MB / 297.2 MB)

Okay I resolved my problem. I ditched ubuntu and went for raspbian jesse, installed chromium-browser and now I can listen to music via subsonic as a client!
