Newly purchased Premium key won't stick

Hi,

Decided recently to invest in Premium.... however, the key that was sent to me works when installed under "Settings", "Subsonic Premium" (I get the "You have a valid Subsonic Premium license!"), but doesn't seem to "stick".

Specifically, my iPhone/iPad apps work, but eventually give the prompt that my license has expired. Also, in the browser GUI, I can install the license over and over with seeming success, but leaving the "Settings", "Subsonic Premium" page, then going back to verify that i'm still activated, and the license is gone and in need of re-installation again.

What am I doing wrong?

I would check the logs?

The license is 'installed' by writing over subsonic.properties in the lib folder (on OSX it is in /Library/Application Support/Subsonic; on Windows in C:\Subsonic; on Linux it is under var).

The server is still running as the user you configured it to (you don't want it to run as root). Thus, that user may need to have write access to that folder, and the subsonic.properties file in particular, to update.

So it may be that it works briefly because it is cached in memory that it is installed, but when the cache runs out and it checks again, the subsonic.properties file hasn't been updated and so the license disappears.
