Subsonic Forum

Hi, I've been using Subsonic for several years now and today is the first time I've encountered a problem. Going through the browser, a particular artist (Stewart Copeland) displays along with the names of the two records I own, but no songs are listed for the two albums. My setup is that all of my music is in one folder with subfolders for artist and album, and there is nothing unusual in the directories that contain the two folders.

I removed the library and added it again, and also cleaned up the database -- neither of these helped. There are no errors in the log. This makes me think that there are likely other artists missing as well, though this is the only one I've found.

You've done everything I would do. I'm sorry I can't help any further, but as a big fan of Stewart Copeland, I hope someone can help you figure this out so can listen to Mr Copeland again.

Try moving the folder and scan again.
You should see something in logs if it fails on the rescan.
Double check permissions.

If anyone has a similar problem, I solved it by following the directions here -- backing up the script file, deleting the db, restoring the script file, and rescanning:
