DLNA? Chromecast?

I can't find where to select my Chromecast in the Living Room.
I can't find it on the web browser UI, and I can't find it on the Android client UI.

I turned DLNA/UPNP on in the settings.
Where did they hide this feature?

DSub sees my Chromecast. But it just sits there all day saying "buffering".
The Subsonic app on my Android does play music, but won't cast (see above).

I found some answers here
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/share-musi ... hromecast/

But I still can't find any button on the Android client or the web UI to select my chromecast device.
DSub worked for a while with selecting and using my chromecast, but then it seems to crap out on getting the music.

Meanwhile, back on my Synology, the following happens with regularity:
[2017-06-18 18:18:55,506] WARN CoverArtController - Failed to create thumbnail for Media file 20678 - Chopin: Scherzo No. 3 in C sharp minor
java.lang.NullPointerException
at sun.awt.FontConfiguration.getVersion(FontConfiguration.java:1264)

I somehow imagined after all the years of development this stuff would actually work by now.

There is a casting icon at the bottom of the webpage just below the video box when using the web ui on Android. This icon is rather obscure. Also I have the "Localcast" Android app. In my case if I want to cast video from the Subsonic app, when I tap on a video within the Subsonic app, a pop-up gives me the option to select wether to use one of a few apps, one being the "Localcast" app. All I do is select this app and it will cast the video to Chromecast. Music doesn't seem to work this way. Keep in mind that Chromecast can't render certain files such as .avi. Chromecast only will render mp4, mp3, flac, ogg and maybe something else. I hope this will be helpful.
