Songs disappear from Subsonic after editing with Music Bee

I have run into an issue with Subsonic version 6.1.1 (build fc853b) where after updating information on a song using Music Bee the song will disappear from Subsonic. So far I have seen it occur when updating album artwork, MP3 tag info, and rating a song. Again, I have been using Music Bee to do these things.

I have determined that if I move all of the affected songs out of the music folders and then perform Clean database and Scan folders and then move the songs back then re-scan folders the songs will then show back up in Subsonic (with the edits/updates that I have made from Music Bee). This seems like a very cumbersome process to have to perform in order to update the info on my songs and get it to show up in Subsonic.

Is this potentially a bug? Or is there a setting or something that I can do differently that would prevent this from happening?

I have used the Zune application to do these edits in the past without issue. But, had recently made the decision to try and find a new application to use as the Zune application is no longer supported by MS.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ah! I am having the same issue with 6.1.1 (build fc853b). I use MusicBee as well and noticed this happens when I rate a song. Going to look into it a bit more when I find the time..

This does not appear to be isolated to just Music Bee. Here is another thread with others discussing the same issue. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17388

I have been able to work around it by creating a CMD file and an "almost" empty TXT file on my server. The TXT file I named UPDATE.TXT and I rotate it between containing a value of 1 or 2 and saving it to update the modification date on the file. The CMD file then proceeds to copy the TXT file into every directory and sub-directory. With this updated TXT file in place, Subsonic seems to re-scan all of the folders.

After making changes to a tags or Album Art, I now just update the TXT file and then run the CMD file and then re-scan the files in Subsonic.

Contents of CMD:

for /r "d:\Music" %%i in (.) do copy /y "c:\update.txt" "%%i"

I'm experiencing the same thing when using MusicBee, noticed a bunch of 'Missing' tracks found in playlists after updating album art/tags. JamMstrT's workaround fixed it (thanks!) but it's a bit ridiculous that it's required in the first place; does Sindre even read these forums anymore, he's posted like a grand total of twice in the last 6 months :|
