Subsonic Down After Power Loss [RESOLVED]

Postby ddiddlydoo » Mon Jul 24, 2017 4:01 pm

I was on my Windows PC listening to Subsonic in web app. Full house power loss momentarily. Booted back up PC and Subsonic will not load at all.

When I type server name address into bar it takes me to http://72.34.9.121:4040/ (address I've never seen before - not my IP) and a website can't be reached page. Putting in my IP to connect (which I've done in the past) takes me to a different 503 page. Even if Subsonic was ever down I could connect to the web app via local host link on Subsonic Control Panel, but even that now takes me to a 503.

I've restarted everything. Checked router settings. Uninstalled and reinstalled Subsonic. All setting look fine in the control panel.

I'm out of troubleshooting ideas. It seems to me it has to be connected to the power loss, but I have no idea why. Wish I could give more information....

Any help or thoughts are appreciated. I'm beginning to twitch without my media access.

Thank you.

I have resolved my issue. I rolled my Subsonic back to 5.3 and I also tried 6. The thing I had not tried, however, was deleting the Subsonic database files left after uninstalling the program. It was keeping the problem and reinstalling around it.

The downside was losing all my user logins, playlists, and podcast subscriptions. If you are able somehow to offload that info, do it before deleting all Subsonic files.

Uninstall. Delete Subsonic files. I installed 5.3 and then went to 6. Staying there. Everything is working swimmingly.

All the best!
