Problems with version 6.1.3

Postby troutman » Sat Nov 18, 2017 2:45 am

Hello -

I recently updated to version 6.1.3 (build e408c9) – October 31, 2017. I am on a mac running OS 10.12.6

I use subsonic to get around the library size limitation on Sonos. In the past this has worked fine.

A couple of fundamental problems for me with the new version.

1) the settings link does not appear on the left side of the web page. I do not seem to be able to access the settings page.

2) For any music files, albums, etc, there does not appear to be a way to add them to the queue - the expected icons to the left of each track do not appear.

Any hints or help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Maybe try creating a new user? I just noticed in the 6.1.3 changelog (http://www.subsonic.org/pages/changelog.jsp) it says

Bugfix: Hide links, buttons etc in the web interface if a user is not allowed to play music.

perhaps it somehow thinks your user is not allowed to play music...

Thanks for the tip, that seems to be the problem. However, in order in set up a new user one needs access to the settings page, which I do not have.

So I uninstalled, removed all the aux files, reinstalled, and things seem to be moving in the right direction.

Now, all I need to do is figure out how to get the media folders recognized. I am on a MAC, the files are on a network drive, I have tried all variations of the network path, none seem to be taking.
