Android App Issue Browsing Library

Postby lavarocker » Sat Nov 25, 2017 12:18 am

Hello everyone,

The MB on my home server died a few weeks ago and I have replaced the hardware and installed a newer OS. I'm having a few issues with Subsonic afterwards but will report them one at a time for clarity. It mostly works as before, but I'm having a very puzzling and annoying issue on the Android app. I can access and play Playlists, Recently Added, Random, Top Rates, Recently Played, and Most Played functions on the Home screen. However when I switch to the Library tab, the app is unable to connect to the server and times out after 4 tries. I have checked the server logs and there is no record of this connection request. I have switched from https to http with no change in functionality or this issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Android app (and rebooted it a few times as well). Are there any logs I can check on my Android phone? This is quite puzzling as the app works fine otherwise, and using a PC browser also works correctly as I am able to access the folder lists from the home screen.

System information follows:

Licensed server version 6.1.3 (build e408c9) – October 31, 2017 running on MS Server 2012
Using latest version of Android app
Java Memory Limit increased to 1024MB with Java version 1.8.0_31
Last ten log file lines: N/A as there is nothing in the server logs when this function accessed on my phone.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Aloha and Mahalo

A quick update on this issue.

I installed the Ultrasonic app on my phone and it is able to browse libraries using the Artists->Select Folder option without issue. This is pretty much the same feature that is not working in the subsonic app. I like the subsonic app better though and would still like to get this working again.

Thanks
