Can't Add Users

Postby Mickie-Dee » Fri Jan 05, 2018 11:02 pm

Can't get any users other than myself configured to access subsonic. When I add them, they can access subsonic on my PC, but they can't be set up on any android or ios devices using developed apps. When testing their server they get connection failure errors length 26, reg ostart 0 regiomlength 1 and wrong username password errors, even though the passwords are correct.

Can they acces your Subsonic server from another pc OUTSIDE your LAN?
What' OS are you using?
How did you set up your portforwarding?
What's the status when you check Settings >> Network >> Access your server over the Internet using an easy-to-remember address.?

Thanks for the reply. No they can't. Status: Failed to create port forwarding. See log for details. Status: Successfully registered web address. Setup static IP via Port forwarding.com. OS Windows 10. Using Subsonic 6.1.3. Set PF on my Asus RT-AC68R router ports 80 and 4040.

For Subsonic to work properly you only need to forward port 4040. ( if you didn't change that port in Subsonic.)
The network status shows that your portforwarding should be correct.
However as none of your friends can't connect from outside your lan I would check:
1. Does your Subsonic server have a fixed ipadress?
2. Is the portforwarding to port 4040 in your router really directing traffic to that ipadress?
3. Did you disable the option Automatically configure your router to allow incoming connections to Subsonic (using UPnP or NAT-PMP port forwarding). and set the portforwarding manually?
4. Did you try a reboot of your router?
5. Try removing the existing portforwarding in your router, reboot the router and set up a new portforwarding manually.
