Could not connect problem ConnectTimeout

According to the settings, I have automatically successfully port forwarded 4040, as well as successfully registered a web address, but when I try to connect to my server with the app on my iPhone, I get an error message saying I could not connect. Not sure what else I might need to do.

I'm having issues as well. I've been using Subsonic with the same web address for a year successfully. Lately, I cannot connect outside my network and am getting the error that my web address could not connect. I did update to 6.1.3, so I'm thinking of reverting back to a previous build. I don't think the issue started at that time, but I could be wrong, of course.

Vampriter, if you try an earlier version and it starts to work, let me know.

Has either of you checked if your Subsonic server is really online? You can check it on http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/
Can you log on to the webinterface of Subsonic on the server?
Did you check your logfiles?
What does the networkstatus say?
Did you try rebooting your router / modem?
I strongly advise to manually configure the portforwarding to your server.
Did you make sure your server has a fixed ip-adress or a reservation in DHCP AND that the portforwarding is actually pointing to your server?

I followed the instructions to the letter and still couldn't connect with either of the two IOS apps I bought. And now my trial period is out, so I'm sort of in the dark. Posted for help in the forum and nothing.

It's frustrating.

Ditto. Same sounding issue. Long time supporter of Subsonic and largely fine, but every once in a while the same issue crops up, by which point I can't recall if there was one distinct solution - so try everything and seemingly no success. Then at some point, it finally works again?!

Basically one day it worked, then it didn't. Possibly IP address changed but have updated port forwarding. Also rebooted everything.

Works in browser from full name URL in local PC, but not other devices on local network.

Any tips (other than how to request support) much appreciated.

Thanks.

So you want relevant answers on a question that's basically:
"Yeah, duh, like I like can't connect to Subsonic, and duh can anyone solve my problem? "

And that's the reason why there's viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5506
