Can't Connect Remotely

I am configuring Subsonic on a new computer (windows 10)/router(TM-AC1900) and I can't connect remotely (works fine on local network). I am receiving a message that states port 8080 is forwarding successfully. However, I receive the following error message Status: Could not connect to YOURNAME.subsonic.org. (ConnectTimeoutException). Any help would be much appreciated.

Below is the info about my version of subsonic:

License Subsonic Premium
Version 6.1.3 (build e408c9) – October 31, 2017
Server jetty-6.1.x, java 1.8.0_151, HSQLDB, Windows 10 (64.9 MB / 149.4 MB)

I strongly advise to manually configure the portforwarding to your server and to make sure that your server has a fixed ip-adress or a reservation in DHCP AND that the portforwarding is actually pointing to your server.
After configuring the portforwarding it can be usefull to reboot your modem/router.
Check if Subsonic really is using port 8080 by clicking the tray icon on your server and viewing the Settings tab. ( By default Subsonic uses port 4040, so if you haven't changed that , that might be the problem.)
It seems that Subsonic can't connect to the Subsonic.org website.
If you just registered a new Subsonic.org adress it may take some time before it gets active.

In addition, reboot your router after opening the port and test the port using canyouseeme.org for your port (8080).

I have the server computer configured to use a static IP address. However, when I go to canyouseeme.org it shows my public IP address rather than the static computer IP address. Any suggestions regarding what I'm goofing up? I followed the directions found here (https://portforward.com/networking/static-ip-windows-10.htm) for setting up the static IP.

In response to toolman: I set the port to 8080 because I previously had success with it, using a different computer and router, and I have confirmed it says 8080 in the Subsonic control panel. Also, the url (name.subsonic.org) was registered weeks ago so I don't think that is the problem.

By design, canyouseeme.org uses your public IP address, given by ISP. You then enter the port (8080) that you want to check, and it will either say 'Success!' or 'Failed to see your port (8080)..' You must pass this test for Subsonic's redirect server to find you.
