Network Drives

Postby mikefritzbln » Mon Feb 26, 2018 10:59 am

It is very strange that I can not scan files on a network drive. There are smb shares on my server that were not searched by subsonic.
My Buffalo Station, which is e a Samba drive too, were searched without any problems.
Would it be better to install an NFS server? Can Subsonic read NFS shares?

I f you map a drive to a windows Drive Letter i.e. X:\ and you have access from Desktop/Explorer to the Data, Airsonic should scan the Drive.

But common Problems are using backslashes in the Path and Linux Based System needs slashes, also Linux is case sensitive, also the different access rights to drives and folders in Windows and Linux is causing problems. in some Cases it would be better to give the network static IP's and access it via the IP
