Streaming timeout values

Hi,
I've been using subsonic for quite some years and love it.
Recently I updated java (I think I switched from proprietary java 6 to openjdk 7). This was to get subsonic working again after an upgrade.
Everything has been fine, except one behavior changed. I use to be able to pause the song I'm on (using foobar2000), and return, days later even to have the stream continue perfectly. Now, since the upgrade, if I pause for maybe more than 5 or 10 minutes, when I start playing again, the stream will error out and move onto the next song.
Was this a behavior change because of java? Or because of the upgrade to subsonic? Anyone else know how this timeout value works?
Thanks,
bru
