Folders Missing in 'Cover' View vs. 'List' View?

Postby an_otter » Thu Apr 12, 2018 1:12 pm

Not sure if this is a bug, or I'm just not using Subsonic properly, but I noticed a folder was missing in the 'cover' folder view vs. the 'list' view:

I thought maybe it doesn't have a cover image, or it has sub-folders so it's just re-organized, but no:

So am I missing something? I feel like I must be using Subsonic wrong, because this can't be normal.

You know I'm desperate for help if I'm willing to admit I have not one but three Big Shiny Tunes albums.

Did you check the tags in the missing albums?
Are there images in the missing folders or have the songs embedded coverart?
Did you try to change the coverart from the missing albums to see it they will show up in "cover view"?

There are images in the missing folders, but out of curiosity I removed the embedded covers from the tags as well. Same issue, the folders don't appear the cover view list. :/

It may take re-scanning them properly, and the way to do that is to take a parent folder and rename it, scan once, click "clean up database", then move it back and scan again (and clean up db). That should put it back and find the local jpg cover art instead of what might have been cached from the embedded tag.

sometimes that's the only way to get the DB clean and accurate again when ID3 changes happen.
