Strange Sorting Issue

I'm having a strange sorting issue in my Subsonic Libary. On my Windows system I have the following hierarchy: \Music\A - E\, \Music\F - L\, etc, with Artist\Album underneath each sub-directory. However, when I browse the library in Subsonic or on the Subsonic Android App, the A - E list, for example, is broken in half somewhat. The first random selection of A - E is at the top of the list with little folder Icons. Then at the end of that seemingly random selection is the remaining A - E artists with little Play, Play Last, and Play Next links next to them. Can anyone guide me as to what I'm doing wrong?
