scan selected media folder

Hi,
I have a quite large mp3 archive directory plus a few other smaller mp3 directories.
It would be useful for me not to rescan the large archive (which is rarely updated) while the other folders need to be updated quite often.
Is there a way to select which folder rescan automatically?

Plain and simple: No.
You can only scan your entire collection. There isn't even an API to scan just one folder.
