Moved my Win 10 Music Folder location

Postby Bigpadg » Thu Aug 23, 2018 1:35 am

Moved it the correct way to a microSD card drive letter D. So the path is exactly the same as it was on C drive. I have informed Windows 10 Shell where my music is now located. WMP has reindexed no problem. Unfortunately, Subsonic only finds and indexes letters A-H, leaving the majority of my music undiscovered. Why is this happening? All folders A-Z are right there in the music folder, why Sub only seeing A-H, even after numerous scans and renaming of database file and re-creation?

And when I scan media folders, it never gets past "Scanning files: 1" Additionally, though I can play the A-H material locally on my laptop, all DLNA clients see Subsonic, but no content is available.

Perhaps if you were a liitle more elaborate you'd get some answers.
So here are some questions.
Did you HAVE a music folder on a partition with the assigned driveletter D? (So this was the previous situation? )
Did you move all your music files to a SD-card which you than assigned the driveletter D to?
Did you redefine your musicfolders in Subsonic?
Did you check if the account running the Subsonic service has actually sufficient privileges to acces the SD-card?

Don't expect a 24/7 answering service when you submit a question.
We're all just Subsonic users trying to help each other.
Your last remark is uncalled for.
