Albums are listed but no songs!?

Hi there,

I have just setup subsonic as well its awesome!

But i am having a problem. I have selected the dir which my music is in /home/users/Music and subsonic is now listing all the albums that I have.

When I click on the album there appears to be nothing inside it (even though there is in the folder)

I have lame setup also.

Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong? Or does it take a while for the songs to propegate and become available.

I have updated the index search as well.

My first guess would be that your file type is not listed in Subsonic.

Settings --> General --> Music Mask.

Mine shows: .mp3 .ogg .aac .flac .m4a .wav .wma

If you have files with a different extension they will not be shown. If you change it you might need to reindex Settings --> Search --> Update Search Index

My Second guess is that the indexing isnt completed.

My 3rd guess would be that it is a permissions issue. If you are using Ubuntu you can do Sudo Nautilus in a terminal session and set the permissions by right clicking your music folder. Or any linux based system allows you to use chmod see http://catcode.com/teachmod/
